EVENTS & TEMS |
Learning About TEMS and TRIAL 8 At IBC 2024 |
We were pleased to bring together various partners at this year’s International Broadcasting Convention in Amsterdam. The event provided an excellent opportunity to present the Trusted European Media Data Space (TEMS) project during the Future Media Hubs session at the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) stand. In just 15 minutes, we successfully conveyed the concept and objectives of TEMS, highlighted the key aspects of TRIAL 8 (collaborations in virtual productions), and connected with inspiring individuals to explore potential collaborations. |
Why And How Do You Build a Trusted European Media Data Space? |
This was the question addressed by France Télévisions, APA, and WAN-IFRA during Media Labs Days #8 in Vienna. Consortium members attended the event to discuss what data spaces are, their uses and benefits across industries, and why they are crucial for Europe. The conversation also focused on how TEMS meets the need for data spaces in the media sector, explaining how the project’s trials can help the industry tackle its current challenges. |
MINDS 2024 |
APA, AFP, and dpa took the stage on the second day of the 37th MINDS Conference in Berlin. The "Mixed Pitches from Agencies" segment covered various topics, focusing on solutions to challenges raised in earlier discussions and presentations. TEMS was highlighted as a source of opportunities for news agencies, particularly in sales, product development, and delivery. |
TRIAL HIGHLIGHT |
Until 2026, TEMS will roll out 8 TRIALS covering themes spanning from the exchange of fact-checked news content, user data, personalised advertising, content syndication, or new distribution formats. |

TRIAL 3: Next level DRIVE – The Digital Revenue Initiative |
Led by Deutsche Presse-Agentur, Schickler, other newspaper and media publishers, Trial 3 sees TEMS as a centralized environment for the collection, sharing, and analysis of data related to media trends and personalization services, with the goal of enhancing media companies’ capabilities in understanding media trends and providing personalized digital news products. |
TRIAL 4: Hyper-Personalised Advertising Without Compromising Privacy |
Henneo, Alayans, EITB and SQS, are working on the development of a privacy compliance environment for adtech companies to facilitate data sharing and application of AI models, with TEMS as the receptor of audience findings. The objective of this trial is to support the creation of a collaborative framework to access data analytics in line with user privacy policies and data protection laws. |
